Rabley Drawing Centre embraces an open ended network of creative connections. It brings together it’s artist in residence, the gallery and the courses to offer an enhanced learning experience.
Nik Pollard will have an exhibition of work made during his residency in the gallery
22 March – 17 April
Rabley Artists in Residence looks back over ten years, including an installation of drawings celebrating the flora and fauna in an around Rabley by Nik Pollard. Also works by previous Artists in Residence: Helen Barff, Alan Bond, Martyn Brewster, Lucy Strachan and Sara Lee.
OPEN Thursday, Friday 10–5pm and Saturday 11–3pm & by appointment
“The residency encourages conversations between: artist and farmer; artist and curator; artist and student; artist and printmaker. All these conversations have been rich and fruitful exchanges of knowledge and I have enjoyed this part of the residency immensely. There is a rich natural fauna and flora on the farm due to certain management strategies and the proximity of woodland. I have been able to study wading birds in their inland habitat rather than on the marshland that is my usual haunt. I have had wonderful views of hares and witnessed behaviour I have not previously seen. I have studied the yellowhammer, goldfinches and migratory warblers.” Nik Pollard
