Gallery Talk – Saturday 29 October
To coincide with our current exhibitions artsts Sally Taylor and Stephen Snoddy will make intorductions to their work and practice followed by an ‘in conversation’ with the artists.
Sally Taylor – That Head, That Head
In this short talk, Taylor will discuss the development of her most recent, prolific body of work currently on show at Rabley Drawing Centre. She will illuminate on the material investigations; her working methods of ritual and repetition of motif and her overarching ideas and concerns. She will also discuss the artists she feels an affinity towards in terms of values and working practices including Philip Guston and Louise Bourgeois.
Stephen Snoddy – Conversations
Stephen Snoddy will talk about the influence of the paintings of Henri Matisse ‘The Piano Lesson’, ‘Studio interior paintings’, ‘Conversation’ and ‘Collioure’ in relation to his monotypes currently on exhibition.

TICKETS: FREE. A donation to the education fund for the children of the artists colony in Jaisalmer, India will be much appreciated and collected in cash at the door (suggested donation £8).
