We have three wonderful new woodcut prints from Sadie Tierney available at this year’s London Original Print Fair at The Royal Academy of Arts. In Sadie Tierney’s new woodcuts and watercolours the anticipated excitement of the voyage radiates from the gloaming as ships head out of port reflecting on the sea.

Sadie Tierney
Drawing informs every medium Sadie Tierney uses. She begins by selecting subject matter intuitively, representing the experience until the drawings expand into series. The work tends to centre on places where form is linked to emotion, metaphor and movement or change. Sadie’s expressive prints and paintings spring from sketches and drawings made en plein air and are marked by their celebratory use of colour and line. Tierney studied at the Royal Collage of Art. Selected Exhibitions: UK: The Discerning Eye, Mall Galleries, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Beyond Dickens (Dickens Birthplace Museum). Eton College, UK. Rabley Drawing Centre. Selected Collections: UK: Swindon Museum and Gallery. UK. Sir Michael Hopkins, Basil Alkazzi, Royal College of Art, Eton College, Angela Flowers, Albert Irvin, Clifford Chance and Baker & MacKenzie.
