RABLEY GALLERY AT THE LONDON ORIGINAL PRINT FAIR 2019
25th – 28th April 2019
STAND 34
During the coming weeks I will be highlighting the artists and the monoprints we will be exhibiting at the London Original Print Fair in April 2019. For more information about the work of Katherine Jones or visiting the London Original Print Fair please contact the gallery – email info@rableygallery.com
Rabley Gallery will be exhibiting new works focusing on monoprints. The quality of these prints brings a fresh vibe to the artworks and offers a more unique and experimental field of play for the collector and for the artist as they develop series of imagery. The monoprint, unlike the monotype, is one of a series, so it is not completely unique. Monoprints are often thought of as variations on one theme.

Nik Pollard is Rabley Drawing Centre’s Artist in Residence 2014. This year he has been out in all weathers on the 700 acre farm that surrounds Rabley at the heart of the Wiltshire downs – hiding in cover waiting for hares, sitting in the field margins or hovering by the pond watching dragonflies and red kite.
His work stems from a passion for the natural world and is generated from sustained, direct observation. He makes drawings and paintings in the field and develops ideas through printmaking in the studio.
Nik Pollard preparing his inks for MULTIPLIED ART FAIR ‘Live Printing’ on Friday 17 October with Rabley Contemporary, Stand 32.

Nik Pollard came to Rabley to run a 3 day ‘Drawn To Nature’ course last Friday. The sun may not have shined throughout, but this didn’t deter the students from immersing themselves in the surrounding rural, Rabley landscape. After donning their sun hats, or in some instances raincoats, Nik guided everyone through the various local flora and fauna.

Through Drawing, painting and printmaking Nik Pollard explores the inter-relation of landscape and nature. Prolonged direct observation of the Natural world is key to Nik Pollard’s artwork. From raw field sketches to more considered studio work, his aim is to interpret the richness in Nature that he has witnessed.
