The Summer Exhibition at Rabley Drawing Centre brings together 15 artists from the Drawing and Print School. Each has made work that is highly individual within the creative and supportive Studio & Print Sessions at Rabley.
The regular Studio & Print sessions offer weekly ongoing creative development and support throughout the year. Experimental and conventional drawing underpins the variety of print disciplines. The school’s focus on developing work through new technologies including acid free and non – toxic printmaking has brought a vitality to the studio as each artist researches and develops the potential of their ideas through various media.
A stimulating dialogue with visiting artist tutors Meryl Ainslie, Sara Lee, Endellion Lycett Green, Nik Pollard, and Emma Stibbon RA, along with the support of Rabley Studio Printmaker Amy-Jane Blackhall, has enabled the development of exciting new work over the last year.

iPad to intaglio combines the best of both worlds: The amazing creative power modern technology and the qualities and ink and surface realised with intaglio printmaking.
In part two we have continued to develop images in the iPad using different layers and opacities to make more complex multi plate intaglio prints. I hope you find these photo’s helpful to remind you of the print stages. Do add comments and we look forward to seeing how your iPad drawings develop!
